RoHS Directive and Batteries
As of July 22nd, 2019, the scope of the RoHS Recast Directive was extended from the conventional six restricted substances to ten, and it still applies to electrical and electronic equipment products as before.
Recital 14 of the RoHS Recast Directive states that “It shall apply without infringing the Batteries Directive”. Therefore, the RoHS Directive does not apply to batteries complying with the Batteries Directive.
All Maxell batteries are exempt from the RoHS Recast Directive as they comply with the Batteries Directive.
