Recycled PET masking tape

Due to recent global warming, there is a growing demand for environmentally friendly products, such as those made from recycled materials.

To meet this demand, Maxell has developed the "ETHICAL PRO USE" series of protective tapes, branded as "ETHICAL," using recycled materials with a focus on sustainability. ETHICAL PRO USE is a protective adhesive tape made by laminating polyethylene onto the tape base and applying a synthetic resin adhesive. The tape base contains more than 55% recycled plastic by weight (excluding the laminated layer).

Compared to conventional protective adhesive tapes, it is more flexible, easier to tear by hand, and offers excellent workability. Additionally, it adheres well to protective sheets, leaves minimal adhesive residue, and performs excellently as an indoor protective tape.

This tape is ideal for securing protective sheets during interior construction or renovations, protecting surfaces during moving, and can also be used for hazard markings or signage.

Using recycled PET helps reduce waste. Plastics are consumed in large quantities around the world, and their disposal has become a major environmental issue. By using recycled PET, these waste materials can be repurposed into new products, effectively reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and decreasing environmental impact.

Producing new PET requires a significant amount of energy, and this process generates carbon dioxide (CO₂). In contrast, using recycled PET reduces CO₂ emissions, helping to combat global warming.
